What’s the difference between radio control planes,remote control planes and RC Planes ?

Its just a major controversy between the meaning of these frequency driven vehicles. People call it many names. And from what I know, its been called 3 names. Radio Controlled, Remote Controlled, and RC. The wrongful terminology would be “Toy.” It is like a Male could be called man, guy, dude or a female could be called gal, woman, or chick. Lets start from the basics. This might go in circles. RC is an abbreviation. Abbreviation of what? Remote Controlled and Radio Controlled. What are the differences? There are none. Because these vehicles are being driven by a radio or a remote. Same thing. A radio is called the remote because a remote controls something via a wireless source at a certain distance. Of course, because that is said, that would mean a radio would do the same job. A radio emits waves to a receiver which tells it what to do. It not only gives musical jingles out from a speaker! but also tells a little small computer thingy what to do! So radio would fall under that category. Lets say you dont know which to say. I have a Subaru Impretza Radio controlled car When I got it although it was a Kit car It had a pistol type Controller however this is now damaged beyond repair Could I go out and buy a controller like this (see link) and use it with the cars current Transceiver or would I have to put the one that comes with the control box in the car the car is 27MHz

Looking at the controllers you described, those are meant more for planes and helicopters. They may be more familiar or user friendly for you, but the controls are not compatible with a car. It is possible, but you would have to wire in your own controls for things such as brakes, reverse, and pretty much anything else that a car does and a heli doesn’t. It’s not worth the effort.

Why does the radio control on my RC car drop out temporarily when it has a ‘rough landing’..?
Every time i have had a semi-serious head-on collision (yes they are rather plentiful), the radio gear drops out. I unplug the servo’s and power to check for damage (there never is any), yet when i plug it all back together (and after about 5 minutes) it comes good. Why is this happening (other than my driving!)and What is happening?

The cyrstal in the reciever,is loosened when it hits,be carefull cause if the crystal breaks and you have no fail safe you will loose reception to car and if it’s at full throttle,well huh,your going to really fuk it up,trust me i have 6 cars,and i learned this from personal experiance,i’v be racing since i was 12yrs old i’m now 34.

Is a crooked horizontal stabilizer bad for RC planes?
The horizontal stab is perfectly parallel to the main wing if you look at the plane directly from the front or back. Unfortunately, the stab is slightly crooked if you look at the plane from the top (the left half of the stab is very slightly forward of the right half). Now, a crooked stabilizer is OBVIOUSLY bad. My stab’s crookedness is very slight. I just measured and its about 0.5 cm off on each side. Should I remount the damn stab?

I’m not sure I know what will happen, I never had that problem. I think it would affect the elevator, it being longer than the other. But, try asking your question in the aircraft section. There are a lot of Intelligent pilots that could explain the aerodynamics of the problem.
