My Son had fun with this boat

I purchased the kid galaxy hydro racer barracuda boat for my son as a gift. he had fun with it once. he really hasn't touched it since. i think the issue is this: on the video it is shown as speeding thru the water - to the point that the water is coming up around the sides of the boat - indicating super high speeds. Well, this boat just barely tugs along in the water. A little disappointing considering that we live on the lake with the marina as our front yard ... and this could have been a fun toy for him. Once he's interested in it again, I'll see if there is something I missed the first time - a setting, something. All in all it's a fun little toy - just not for a speed demon! ;o) I would recommend for toddlers ... also - the shipping was FAST and the packaging was excellent. The boat is sturdy and bright and colorful. I would purchase from this seller again. Thank you.
I know a boat gets wet but....

the water should stay on the outside and not in the battery compartment. I found that even adults had trouble keeping the boat from flipping over sometimes when it got close to the wall of the pool. The battery compartment was full of water at the end of the day when we went to take the batteries out and corrosion had already started. We had a good time using it but with the problems caused by water getting into the battery compartment, we will definitely limit the amount of time we use it. Cleaning out the corrosion was difficult and time consuming.

Sorry but this toy is a dud. I used it for a short time and it quickly conked out....and that was after having to deal with a very poor steering (left/right) condition. It worked for less than a total of 45 minutes before the water seeped in and ruined it. It took in water from the minute it was launched. Isn't put together well and crawles along in the water.

I bought these boats for my boys to play with in the pool. Within 30 minutes they were both broke. I sent away for two new ones and had the same problem.
